Concrete Finisher

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in concrete finishing and related construction activities, ensuring high-quality results on various projects. This role involves working on commercial and residential sites, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to achieve smooth, durable concrete surfaces. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other trades and follow detailed blueprints and schematics to complete projects efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve a smooth, level finish.
• Set forms and molds according to project specifications, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
• Install rebar, metal studs, and other reinforcement materials as required for structural integrity.
• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy equipment safely to facilitate pouring and finishing processes.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements and specifications.
• Apply finishing techniques such as troweling, floating, edging, and curing to produce high-quality surfaces.
• Perform related tasks including caulking, plastering, tile laying, flooring installation, masonry work, and restoration as needed.
• Assist with demolition or renovation activities when necessary, including framing, carpentry, roofing, and stucco application.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly while adhering to safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience in concrete finishing on commercial or residential construction sites.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems related to concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment operation.
• Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and metal stud framing.
• Skills in rebar installation, form building (concrete forming), masonry work, welding, tile laying, flooring installation, and stucco application are highly desirable.
• Experience with heavy lifting techniques and the operation of construction machinery is preferred.
• Background in renovation projects involving carpentry (trim carpentry), plastering, roofing, caulking, restoration work, or masonry is advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise in concrete finishing and related trades. Candidates should demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical construction site experience to excel in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $193.25 - $232.73 per day
