Construction Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Accountant with 4–5 years of experience strictly within the construction industry. Candidates with experience outside the construction sector will not be considered. The role involves managing project accounting, cost control, billing, and ensuring compliance with construction contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full project accounting cycle for construction projects
• Prepare project budgets, cost reports, and financial statements
• Manage subcontractor payments and supplier invoices
• Prepare progress billing and client invoices
• Monitor job costing and perform variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with construction contracts and financial policies
• Coordinate with project managers on financial performance
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4–5 years of accounting experience exclusively in construction companies (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of project accounting and construction cost control
• Experience in handling subcontractor accounts and progress billing
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
