Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Operations & Project Execution

  • Safety & HSE: Enforce the "Zero-Accident" policy and maintain strict adherence to all company, client, and UAE regulatory Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. Lead regular site safety inspections and ensure all personnel have appropriate safety training.
  • Execution Leadership: Direct and oversee all on-site construction activities, including civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works, ensuring all trades are coordinated efficiently.
  • Resource Management: Optimize the allocation and management of company and subcontractor resources, including manpower, equipment, and construction materials, to maximize productivity and meet production targets.
  • Logistics & Site Setup: Plan and manage site logistics, temporary facilities, site access, and material storage to ensure smooth and efficient project flow.

2. Planning, Scheduling, and Control

  • Schedule Management: Work closely with the Planning Engineer to develop, implement, and monitor the detailed construction program (typically using Primavera P6 or MS Project). Proactively identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
  • Progress Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to the Project Manager, documenting work achieved, resource usage, and any deviations from the plan.
  • Budget Control: Monitor construction activities against the approved budget and work with the Project Controls team to ensure cost control. Identify and report any potential cost overruns to the Project Manager.
  • Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Oversee the quality control process. Ensure all work is executed as per approved shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and relevant local building codes and international standards.

3. Subcontractor & Stakeholder Management

  • Subcontractor Supervision: Manage and monitor the performance of all subcontractors, ensuring their work is coordinated, performed on time, and meets the required quality and safety standards.
  • Consultant/Client Interface: Serve as the main point of contact for the Client's Representative and Project Consultant on day-to-day site matters. Obtain necessary approvals (inspections, material submittals, method statements) to avoid delays.
  • Issue Resolution: Promptly resolve site-level technical, logistical, or workforce issues and conflicts to maintain workflow continuity.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate site records, including site diaries, inspection requests (IRs), material test reports, and approved shop drawings.
  • Ensure all necessary project permits, licenses, and authority approvals (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.) are in place and adhered to.
  • Assist the commercial/contracts team in gathering site data necessary for variations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
