This is a field driven leadership position. While there are administrative and coordination responsibilities, this is not a sit behind a desk role. The right candidate has complete lifecycle building knowledge and can lead the full construction sequence, from early site work and layout through punch list and key handoff.

Project Experience Required
Candidates must have demonstrated experience managing and or building the following:

  • Concrete patios, walkways, and flatwork
  • Roofing systems
  • Siding and exterior cladding systems
  • Window and door replacement
  • Light commercial construction

Full Sequence Experience Required
Strong understanding of complete ground up construction is required, from site work and layout through foundations, framing, MEP rough in coordination, building envelope, interior finishes, inspections, final approvals, punch list, and closeout with key handoff.

This includes real experience with:

  • Erosion and sediment control, site logistics, excavation, grading, and hauling coordination
  • Layout, benchmarks, elevations, and foundation layout verification
  • Footings, foundations, waterproofing, drainage, and backfill coordination
  • Underground utilities and flatwork sequencing
  • Structural framing, structural hardware, and tie in details
  • Window and door integration, flashing, water management, and weather barrier continuity
  • Roofing, siding, exterior penetrations, and exterior trim sequencing
  • Coordination of MEP rough ins and inspection readiness
  • Insulation, drywall, interior finishes, trim, and final fixture installation
  • Punch list execution, final inspections, closeout documentation, and client turnover

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain control of job site execution, safety, cleanliness, and production flow
  • Manage subcontractors and enforce workmanship standards and scope compliance
  • Build and drive project schedules, weekly lookaheads, and short interval planning
  • Conduct on site inspections and quality control checks with photo documentation
  • Ensure work is built per drawings, specifications, approved scopes, and permit requirements
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure permit compliance and readiness
  • Identify issues early, drive solutions, and document change conditions immediately
  • Coordinate material takeoffs, orders, and deliveries to support schedule requirements
  • Track job cost performance, labor productivity, and subcontractor progress against budget
  • Maintain daily logs, progress reporting, and clear communication with the office team
  • Participate in client updates as needed, with professional and clear communication
  • Drive closeout, including punch list completion, final inspections, and key handoff

Subcontractor Leadership and Network Expectations

  • Holding trades accountable to schedule, quality, and safety expectations
  • Sourcing and onboarding new subcontractors as needed
  • Bringing a network of proven trade partners, or building one quickly

  • Experience working in DC, Maryland, and Virginia jurisdictions, including permitting and inspection processes
  • Strong understanding of job costing, production tracking, and schedule recovery strategies

Compensation

  • $90,000 annual base salary
  • $5,000 annual vehicle allowance
