Who we’re looking for:

F&R is seeking a highly motivated CMT Department Manager for our Dulles, Virginia office. The Department Manager will coordinate the efforts of other engineers, technicians, special inspectors, and sub-consultants to deliver results that ensure our goal of exceeding our clients’ expectations on every project.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or related fields.
• PE License required, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• 5+ years of construction materials testing and inspections desired.
• Progressive experience leading teams to meet organizational/departmental goals.
• Experience with developing clients in multiple markets.
• Must be a team leader who can lead growth and success through R&R values.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written).
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
• Excellent attention to details.
• Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R's pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record screening
• Ability to continuously sit, stand, and walk.
• Ability to occasionally lift less than 20 lbs.
• Ability to work outside in frequent changes of temperatures.
• Ability to occasionally bend, squat, climb, push, and pull.
• Ability to work in environments containing dust, fumes, and radiation.
• Ability to drive to and from work sites, must have valid driver's license with good-standing driving record.
• Ability to occasionally travel overnight.
