Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end site operations, ensuring all civil construction activities strictly comply with approved drawings, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison among architects, structural and MEP engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure seamless coordination.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, proactively addressing delays with corrective and mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project expenditures, prepare financial forecasts, and implement robust cost-control measures to mitigate overruns.
- Lead and supervise multidisciplinary site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and labor forces, to ensure productivity, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to specifications and initiate corrective measures for any deviations.
- Review, process, and negotiate change orders, variations, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and impact assessment.
- Chair weekly site coordination meetings and present stakeholders with comprehensive updates on progress, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Maintain meticulous site documentation including progress reports, QA/QC records, safety logs, and material tracking sheets.
- Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance throughout all construction phases, fostering a culture of safety.
- Oversee procurement planning and logistics to guarantee timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Resolve site-level issues effectively to maintain construction momentum and achieve critical project milestones.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in civil construction, preferably with leading contracting firms.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale residential, commercial, and high-rise development projects.
- Strong background in project mobilization and managing large, multidisciplinary teams (300+ personnel).
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, site operations, budgeting, and contract management practices.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, particularly under pressure.
- Thorough understanding of GCC construction codes, regulatory approvals, and HSE standards.
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
