A Construction Safety Officer with an IOSH certificate ensures health and safety compliance by conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and training, while maintaining safety records and fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures on-site to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and comprehensive risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Organize and deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks for construction personnel to build their safety knowledge and awareness.
- Investigate all reported incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety-related activities, including risk assessments, inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Actively support management in fostering a strong and positive safety culture throughout the project, where everyone prioritizes safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Mandatory: An IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) Managing Safely Certificate.
- Proven 2-3 years of work experience as a Safety Officer in construction companies.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, relevant safety regulations, and construction industry-specific hazards.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills to effectively convey safety information and findings to management and employees.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a broader construction project team.
Salary Providing:
- The company is providing a salary of AED 2000- AED 2500 with a shared accommodation as well.
