Mission:

Ascent Security Consultants combine strong project management expertise with deep cybersecurity knowledge. As a Consultant, your hands-on experience with effective cybersecurity strategies, along with your clear, reliable communication, helps build trust with clients and ensures accurate recommendations for Microsoft Security implementation and maintenance. As a self-starter, your ability to take initiative in creating, presenting, supporting security audits, and leading thoughtful project design and execution makes you a vital part of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and communicate project risks, key decisions, and dependencies.
• Engage with key stakeholders and build effective relationships.
• Gain thorough understanding of customer’s network, information and security systems.
• Manage customer communication and expectations ensuring customer satisfaction throughout implementations.
• Provide all manner of support including installation and configuration.
• Provide troubleshooting and de-bugging during the engagement. Assist with technical questions and concerns.
• Help Project Managers and Engagement Managers manage customer communication and expectations ensuring customer satisfaction throughout implementations.
• Assist customer teams with technical questions.
• Develop technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer to customers.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of security and risk industry experience
• 3+ years of security consulting experience
• 3+ years of Microsoft security advisory and professional services experience

• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory). Identity Protection, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, End user self-service, Password-less Authentication, Authentication Methods, Enterprise Apps (SSO, Federation)
• Microsoft Entra Identity Governance. Entitlement Management, Lifecycle Automation, Access Reviews, Role-Based Access Control.
• Microsoft Entra External ID.B2B & B2C Collaboration, Permissions Management, Verified ID

Purview Compliance

• Data Classification
• Data Security Posture Management
• Purview Data Loss Prevention
• Purview Information Protection
• Purview Data Lifecycle Management

Expected Salary range is $80-$90K

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able tolift upto 15 pounds at times
• Must be able to be on call for emergencies occurring outside of normal business hours
