Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and purpose-driven Behavioral Insights Expert to support our mission in applying behavioral science to drive innovation across the public and socioeconomic sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of behavioral economics, data-driven analysis, and intervention design, with proven experience applying behavioral methodologies to real-world challenges in areas such as labor markets, education, health, or digital services.
Key Responsibilities

Public Sector Innovation Using Behavioral Science

Apply behavioral science principles to improve service delivery, citizen engagement, and policy effectiveness across government programs.

Identify behavioral barriers and leverage nudging strategies to address them.

Data-Driven Insights & Specialized Studies

Design and lead behavioral research studies, using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Produce actionable insights from behavioral data to inform strategy and policy.

Behavioral Diagnostics and Analytics

Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify behavioral bottlenecks in service uptake, compliance, or user experience.

Perform behavioral data analysis using tools such as R, Python, Excel, or behavioral survey platforms.

Design and Implementation of Behavioral Interventions

Co-design behavioral interventions to promote desired behaviors (e.g., enrollment, compliance, feedback, retention).

Oversee testing (RCTs, A/B testing) and implementation in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Establish and Operate Behavioral Insight Units

Support in designing the operating model, governance structure, and capability-building plans for behavioral insight units.

Provide technical advice on staffing, training, and institutional setup for sustainable operations.

Consultation and Strategic Advisory

Provide tailored advice to public, private, and nonprofit entities on how to apply behavioral science to their challenges.

Develop frameworks and toolkits for behaviorally informed decision-making.

Socioeconomic Growth Applications

Design interventions that support national development priorities, such as workforce participation, education access, health behaviors, and financial inclusion.

Translate behavioral insights into scalable and context-relevant solutions.
Job Requirements

Master’s or Ph.D. in Behavioral Economics, Psychology, Public Policy, Data Science, or related fields.

5–10 years of experience applying behavioral insights in public or private sector projects.

Strong understanding of behavioral research design and analysis.

Proficiency in experimental design, behavioral modeling, and data tools (R, Python, SPSS, etc.).

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate scientific insights into actionable strategies.
Preferred Experience

Experience working with government agencies, think tanks, or development institutions.

Familiarity with behavioral policy frameworks such as EAST, MINDSPACE, COM-B, or Nudge Theory.
-
Prior experience in setting up or operating a behavioral unit or lab.
