Position Summary
The Content Development Senior Specialist is a member of the Comprehensive Services Team within the Family Services Division and reports to the Manager of Comprehensive Services.
The Comprehensive Services Team is responsible for delivering flexible, system-based approaches that can be adapted to diverse human services populations and needs, while maintaining consistent quality across programs and contracts.
In this role, the Content Development Senior Specialist plays a key part in developing, curating, and managing dynamic content across multiple platforms. The position focuses on creating compelling, strategic content that aligns with contract deliverables and organizational goals, while enhancing audience engagement through adult learning principles and instructional design.
This role also supports the organization’s visibility by ensuring all content is purposeful, engaging, and impactful, contributing to the achievement of broader organizational objectives.
Essential Job Functions

Conduct detailed audits of current training materials to identify gaps or inconsistencies, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, thus ensuring content alignment.

Develop and create high-quality content for in-person and online training programs, workshops, and digital resource sharing that meet the needs of diverse audiences.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

Develop and execute content strategies that align with company goals and target audience interests.

Monitor content performance metrics to optimize and refine content strategies.

Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant topics into content creation.

Assess existing training content and revise to ensure consistency of content quality and strategy
- Provide back-up facilitation for in-person and virtual trainings, ensuring continuity of delivery and a consistent, high-quality learning experience.

Ensure all training content meets accessibility standards and best practices, promoting inclusive design and usability for diverse audiences.

Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to support content design, delivery, and tracking, optimizing the learner experience and inform continuous improvement.

Edit, proofread, and improve content created by other team members.

Ensure all content is consistent with brand guidelines and company standards.

Education/Training
-
Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, Family and Child Studies, Marriage and Family Studies, or a related field, required
Experience
-
Demonstrated direct service experience in case management, including conducting assessments, developing and implementing service plans, and monitoring client progress.

At least two years of experience in content development or a related role.

Proven ability to design and deliver engaging training content for human services professionals.

Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress).
