Content Marketer

Client company introduction:

An Australia-Based Salesforce Leader with 50+ Experts Driving Cloud Innovation Across Industries.

Job description:

Editorial judgment. Audience/persona-driven thinking. Subject matter expertise. User intent awareness. Brand alignment. Detail obsession. Relentless curiosity.
A high-responsibility content marketing role that goes far beyond writing content to rank a keyword.

We're looking for a high-level Content Marketer to own the quality, strategy, and clarity of our brand's voice across all content types, down to the smallest details.

We don't need someone who completes a 3,000-word count every day and robotically reports it in a spreadsheet. We're looking for someone who reports what they learned from rigorous research, competitor analysis, industry news, market reports, and evolving workspace trends. Someone who stays updated with and shares new insights, challenges assumptions, and even highlights what they had to unlearn.

This role values writers who document their thinking rather than just their output. Writers who are enthusiastic about what patterns they noticed, what gaps they identified, what competitors are missing, what industry shifts change our positioning, and how those learnings improve our content.

We care about reporting impact and understanding, not hollow quantitative numbers. That means tracking how content is getting clearer, more useful, better aligned to intent, and more effective at nurturing users across every stage of the funnel from early research to decision-making.

You'll be responsible for ensuring our content and messaging are strategically sound, contextually correct, deeply relevant, and always aligned with our tone, standards, and business objectives. That means bringing sharp editorial judgment, a strategist's mindset, and a subject matter expert's perspective to every line you write.

And to do this well, you'll need a deep drive to understand before writing. You must be naturally curious — someone who asks thoughtful questions, researches thoroughly, and digs into the why behind the content. You'll be expected to develop expertise on our product, industry, and customer base, and constantly seek clarity before making editorial decisions.

What you'll do

  • Create high-quality, structured content across Company's core pillars: Workplace Strategy (decision intelligence), Flexible Workspace Solutions (problem-led content), Future of Work & AI (forward-looking insights), Market & Industry Intelligence (data-backed trends), Case Studies (real-world validation), and Community & Stories (brand and awareness content) — all aligned with audience intent and business goals.
  • Write content that nurtures users across every stage of the funnel — from early research to evaluation to decision-making
  • Conduct deep research using industry sources, workspace trends, competitor content, market reports, and news to develop subject-matter expertise
  • Analyze competitor content to identify gaps, weak positioning, missing angles, and opportunities to create stronger, more useful content
  • Translate research and insights into clear, practical, and well-structured content that genuinely helps users make workspace decisions
  • Apply strong editorial judgment while writing, ensuring content is not just well-written, but strategically sound and aligned with intent
  • Identify and address user intent, ensuring each piece answers the right question for the right audience at the right stage
  • Contribute to topic ideation and content planning based on research, gaps, and audience needs
  • Continuously improve existing content by rewriting, restructuring, and adding depth where needed
  • Develop expertise in our product, industry, and customer decision journey through ongoing research and learning
  • Share insights from research, competitor analysis, and industry trends that improve content direction and positioning
  • Maintain consistency in brand voice, tone, clarity, and positioning across all content
  • Fact-check content for accuracy, relevance, and contextual correctness
  • Stay updated with industry developments, workspace trends, and audience needs, and reflect those learnings in content

What makes you a great fit

  • 3+ years of experience writing marketing content
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and simply
  • Strategic thinking: you understand audience intent, funnel stages, and business goals
  • Strong research skills: You build subject-matter understanding before writing
  • Ability to analyze competitor content and identify gaps and opportunities
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals: search intent, structure, topical authority, EEAT
  • Audience-first mindset: you write for users, not just keywords
  • Curiosity-driven approach: you actively seek insights and continuously learn
  • Strong attention to detail in structure, formatting, and clarity
  • Ability to think both strategically and executionally
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and self-managed

You'll thrive in this role if you

  • Think like a strategist, not just a writer
  • Care about why content exists, not just what it says
  • Enjoy researching and building subject-matter expertise
  • Like analyzing competitors and spotting gaps
  • Write with clarity, structure, and purpose
  • Prefer depth and usefulness over volume
  • Are naturally curious and constantly learning
  • Care about impact, not just output
  • Understand how content nurtures users toward decisions
  • Want to help build a strong, authority-driven content engine
