The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Junior Digital Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is perfect for a natural storyteller who lives and breathes social media, is obsessed with the latest trends, and knows how to create scroll-stopping short-form video content.
You will be the driving force behind our presence on platforms like Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. You'll be responsible for the entire content lifecycle—from brainstorming and scripting to filming and, most importantly, rapid editing. If you're comfortable in front of and behind the camera and can turn a product feature into a compelling short story, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Conceptualize, Film, & Edit: Drive the end-to-end creation of engaging short-form video content for our social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
- On-Camera Presence and Direction: Film a variety of content styles, including UGC-style videos (both self-filmed and directing others), product demos, and trend-based content.
- Collaborate: Work closely with our brand partners and hired talent (influencers, actors) to create authentic content that clearly communicates our brand's value propositions.
- Tell Our Story: Translate marketing goals, product features, and brand messaging into compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience.
- Edit with Speed: Utilize CapCut and other mobile-first video editing tools to produce high-quality content quickly and efficiently, including adding text overlays, effects, and audio.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep a constant pulse on emerging social media trends, platform features, and new content formats, and be proactive in testing them for our brand.
- Community Engagement: Assist in monitoring and engaging with our community on social platforms to build brand loyalty and gather insights.
- Expand Your Marketing Skills: Contribute to and learn about other marketing functions, including SEO, data analysis, and broader inbound/outbound campaigns.
What You'll Bring (Qualifications):
Required:
- A strong portfolio of short-form video content you have personally filmed and edited for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or similar platforms. (Applications without a portfolio will not be considered).
- High proficiency in CapCut or similar mobile video editing apps is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to tell a compelling story in under 60 seconds.
- Deep understanding of the social media landscape and what makes content go viral.
- A creative eye for composition, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort both on-camera and directing others.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points (Nice to Have):
- Experience with other editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, Figma, etc.).
- Experience working directly with influencers or brand partners.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting.
