Content Marketing Specialist

Job Goal:

The Content Marketing Specialist supports Region 4’s marketing initiatives by producing high-quality written, visual, and digital content that drives engagement, communicates value, and positions Region 4 as a trusted partner. This role develops campaign messaging, creates multi-channel copy and graphics, manages social media content, and produces short-form video to increase participation in services, products, and events. The Marketing Content Specialist also contributes to themes, taglines, and key messages, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, compelling, and aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or related field

Experience:

Five years related experience in marketing, content creation, communications, or digital media

Special Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for multi-channel marketing content
  • Experience growing social media channels and using management tools to schedule, publish, and analyze content
  • Ability to create content for social media, email, websites, landing pages, and campaigns and ability to interpret content analytics to improve performance
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite for graphics and digital assets
  • Ability to film and edit short-form video using mobile-first tools (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email marketing platforms, WordPress, Content Management experience, and project management tools (Wrike, Monday.com, Asana)
Ability to translate program or product information into clear, audience-ready marketing content

Major Responsibilities

  • Create multi-channel marketing content: Write copy for campaigns, events, product promotions, pitch decks, social media, websites, landing pages, email drafts, brochures, flyers, and short-form video scripts.
  • Produce high-volume content packages: Develop complete content sets for conferences, PD events, webinars, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop campaign messaging elements: Create themes, taglines, value statements, and key messages for marketing initiatives across products and services.
  • Translate program information into audience-ready content: Turn technical, programmatic, or service information into clear, compelling, easy-to-understand messaging.
  • Manage and execute the social media content calendar: Plan, write, design, schedule, and publish content across all Region 4 social media platforms; monitor trends and optimize for engagement.
  • Produce short-form and motion-based video content: Capture, edit, and assemble mobile-first video clips; develop simple animations and storyboards for short-form content.
  • Create graphics and visual assets when needed: Design social graphics, carousels, infographics, promotional visuals, and campaign assets using Canva or similar tools.
  • Optimize and repurpose content: Audit existing assets and repurpose high-performing content across channels to maximize reach, consistency, and ROI.
  • Support product and event marketing: Develop content for product pages, Store listings, Hub assets, event promotions, PD campaigns, and business services marketing.
  • Apply SEO and platform best practices: Optimize written content for search visibility, readability, and user intent; ensure posts follow platform rules and algorithm shifts.
  • Manage editorial workflows and calendars: Plan, maintain, and execute content calendars across channels (web, email, blog, social, campaigns, case studies, etc.).
  • Analyze performance and adjust content: Monitor analytics across social, landing pages, and digital content; report insights and refine creative direction based on data.
  • Collaborate across the Marketing, BD, and Communications team to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and quality: Review content for accuracy, tone, clarity, brand alignment, and adherence to messaging frameworks.
  • Support grant and organizational marketing goals: Provide content-related support for grant-funded initiatives and contribute to the goals of the Marketing Department and CSC&E.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
