Contract Lawyer Specialist

Provide legal advice , draft , revise , manage contracts for Power and Water production projects, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and effective stakeholder collaboration. This position is for expert level law professional with extensive experience in independent power and water projects .

• The holder of this position is expected to have sound legal background in contract and agreement, power and water purchase agreements
• Draft, review, and negotiate Power and Water Purchase Agreements, and contracts typical to the energy industry.
• Analyze deviations to contracts , negotiate terms, draft contracts.
• Ensure contracts comply with relevant laws and standards (e.g., FIDIC, laws of Qatar)
• Advise on legal risks, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Support project teams on regulatory and compliance matters.
• Maintain contract documentation and report on contract status.
• Minimum Qualifications: 1. Education and Experience • Law degree (LLB); advanced or contract management qualifications preferred.
• Strong English and Arabic drafting skills.
• 8+ years’ experience in contract law, preferably in Energy industry.
• Familiarity with Power and Water Purchase Agreements is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills Familiarity with standard contract forms and regulatory frameworks.
