Contract Manager

General Description

Responsible for of all project and contract-related activities on complex, high-value project. Acts as the primary point of contact with the client on contractual and commercial matters, ensuring compliance, minimizing risk, and maximizing value. Leads high-level contract negotiations, claims, and dispute resolutions, while safeguarding the company’s commercial interests and reputation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of major client and subcontractor contracts, ensuring alignment with project objectives and company strategy.
  • Serve as the senior contractual interface with the NEOM client, representing the company in all critical discussions, negotiations, and dispute resolutions.
  • Ensure all contracts adhere to legal, regulatory, and company standards, with a strong focus on GCC laws and international best practices.
  • Provide expert advice on contract risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive proactive contract management across projects.
  • Lead claim preparation, variation orders, and settlement of disputes to secure the company’s commercial position.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of contract management processes, tools, and systems.
  • Mentor and train commercial and project teams in advanced contract and negotiation principles.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director, Quantity Surveyors, and Project Leadership to ensure commercial and contractual alignment across all projects.


Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, (Quantity Surveying, is an advantage) (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of senior-level experience in Project, Contract and Commerical management within the construction and infrastructure sector, including ground works, and ground water control.
  • Proven expertise in large-scale, international projects; direct NEOM or mega-project experience highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of GCC contract law; strong working knowledge of FIDIC and bespoke contracts.
  • Exceptional negotiation, leadership, and client-facing skills with the ability to manage complex, high-stakes discussions.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, clients, and international contractors.
