Contract Specialist

Purpose:


The Contract Specialist will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of contracts across the organization, with a strong focus on supply chain agreements with both international and domestic suppliers. This role ensures that contracts are developed, negotiated, executed, and administered in alignment with organizational objectives, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. Additionally, the role will support global business development efforts by managing select international contracts with customers, partners, and key stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts with suppliers, service providers, and partners.
  • Ensure contracts are compliant with corporate policies, industry standards, and applicable legal/regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and associated documents in the contract management system.
  • Monitor contract milestones, deliverables, and obligations to ensure timely execution and renewals.
  • Develop and manage supply agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), frame contracts, and purchase agreements with suppliers (international and domestic).
  • Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and evaluation through contract documentation.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Quality, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure supplier performance aligns with contractual terms.
  • Negotiate terms to achieve cost savings, mitigate risks, and secure favorable conditions for the organization.
  • Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, commercial, and ethical standards in all contractual dealings.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, rights, and risk exposure.
  • Support audits, reviews, and internal/external compliance requirements related to contracts.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing international commercial contracts for business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with BD teams in evaluating contract terms with new clients, agents, or global partners.
  • Ensure that contract frameworks support long-term strategic growth objectives.
  • Act as a key liaison between suppliers, legal counsel, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide training and advisory support to internal teams on contract-related procedures.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to streamline contract management processes.



Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or Business administration.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience is required.
  • Previous Supplier Relationship Management experience is required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
