Role Purpose
Responsible for supporting the contractual and commercial management of construction projects, including:
Pre-award:
Aid in developing a risk register to account for the risks associated with any Contract package received for any Project during the tender stage, including the negotiation of advantageous and balanced contract provisions.
Post-award:
Proper supervision/administration of Contracts throughout the Project’s life cycle to help in achieving the desired business outcomes, while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and assists in managing claims, variations, and procurement processes in coordination with project and commercial teams.
Key Accountabilities

Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, subcontracts, and service agreements in alignment with project requirements and company policies.

Administer main project contracts, ensuring accurate documentation and organized filing systems.

Issue contractual correspondence related to the main contract, including Extension of Time (EOT) claims and variation orders.

Review subcontract agreements for consistency and compliance with main contract terms.

Analyze and respond to contractual correspondence from subcontractors and support the resolution of claims.

Maintain logs and registers for correspondences, claims, variations, and contract-related documentation.

Attend and contribute to progress meetings, variation discussions, and other project-related meetings.

Prepare internal reports, commercial logs, tracking sheets, and kick-off presentations for project stakeholders.

Ensure timely reporting of project concerns and contractual risks.

Support in preparing risk registers for tender packages and coordinate findings with the commercial team.

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and identify risks and responsibilities within contract terms.

Coordinate with legal, commercial, and project control teams to ensure proper interpretation and execution of contracts.

Provide contractual advice to internal departments and ensure alignment with Egyptian contract law, public procurement regulations, and FIDIC standards.

Maintain communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on all contract-related matters.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or Construction Management.

1–3 years of experience in contract administration within the construction industry.

Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.

Good understanding of Egyptian construction regulations and contractual procedures.

Proficient in MS Office, contract management tools, and document control systems.

Strong communication, documentation, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in English (written and spoken).
-
Contract Management Courses are a plus.
