Role Purpose
The Mechanical Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and managing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems at the construction site. This includes ensuring that all mechanical works are executed in accordance with project specifications, standards, timelines, and safety regulations.
Key Accountabilities

Supervise and execute mechanical works such as HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, drainage, and other building services on site.

Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents, ensuring proper implementation and coordination.

Monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with design documents, project schedule, and safety standards.

Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines (electrical, civil) for seamless integration of services.

Conduct site inspections and resolve technical and execution issues.

Prepare daily and weekly reports, material requests, and site documentation.

Assist in testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and handover activities.

Ensure all mechanical activities comply with local codes and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.).

Attend project meetings and contribute to planning and coordination tasks.

Guide and monitor subcontractors and ensure proper manpower allocation on site.

Accountable for handing over materials and completed works to the consultant.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

1–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical site supervision, preferably in the construction industry.

Good knowledge of mechanical systems: HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and sanitary systems.

Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, etc.).

Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and other relevant software.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Good communication and coordination skills with team members and external stakeholders.
