Role Overview: Apply only Pune Candidate

The Contracts Engineer is responsible for managing all contractual, commercial, and legal aspects of construction projects. This role ensures proper drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts to safeguard the company’s interests and ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities1. Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and finalize contracts, work orders, and agreements with contractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Ensure contracts are aligned with project specifications, drawings, BOQ, and company policies.
  • Maintain contract documentation and update revisions as required.

2. Tendering & Procurement

  • Prepare tender documents, scope of work, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
  • Analyze quotations, conduct rate comparison, and assist in vendor finalization.
  • Support the procurement team in evaluating contractor capabilities and compliance.

3. Cost Control & Billing Support

  • Review contractor bills, variation statements, escalation claims, and extra item rates.
  • Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors / Billing Engineers for verification of BOQ and quantities.
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure cost compliance with contractual terms.

4. Claims & Dispute Management

  • Analyze and respond to contractor claims, time extensions, and change orders.
  • Maintain contractual correspondence to safeguard company interests.
  • Coordinate with legal teams for dispute resolution, arbitration, or legal replies.

5. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure contractual obligations (insurance, guarantees, safety compliance) are met by vendors.
  • Identify potential risks in contracts and suggest mitigation measures.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and company policies.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the communication link between Project Managers, QS, Planning, and Procurement teams.
  • Attend project meetings to address contractual and commercial issues.
  • Prepare MIS reports on contract status, cost impacts, and variations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
