Control Room Operator – Grade 2

About the Role

We are hiring experienced Control Room Operators (Grade 2) to join our team. This role involves monitoring traffic patterns, managing incidents, and operating Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable road network operations. You will work in a 24/7/365 shift environment, playing a vital role in road safety and congestion management.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor traffic conditions and identify potential congestion.
• Operate road management ITS and safety-critical systems.
• Manage traffic signals, CCTV monitoring, and dynamic message signs.
• Support road closures, traffic diversions, and major event operations.
• Provide real-time traffic information to stakeholders.
• Manage incidents and weather-related issues affecting the road network.
• Support tunnel operations and road network optimization.
• Liaise with internal and external teams for effective information sharing.
• Provide input to improve ITS systems and operations.
• Ensure professionalism, data security, and confidentiality of control room operations.
• Follow company health, safety, and quality standards at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering or a relevant field.
• 5–6 years’ experience in a roads control room operating ITS systems.
• Strong knowledge of incident management and safety-critical systems.
• Experienced in multi-software platforms and modular system operations.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written).
• Valid Qatar Driving License.
• Flexible to work shifts (24/7/365, including nights, weekends, and holidays).

Desirable:

• Accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or equivalent.
• Experience with tunnel management or road incident management systems.
• Knowledge of transportation-specific Video Management Systems.
• Ability to communicate in Arabic (verbal & written).
