About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IP Telephony & Security Engineer to join our team. The role is responsible for the operation, implementation, and support of IP Telephony, wireless, and security solutions across the network. You will manage ICT projects, support advanced technologies, and ensure high availability of mission-critical systems while mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and implement IP Telephony, wireless, and security solutions.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line management of Regional Network Management Control Room & IP Telephony Systems for daily operations, new implementations, and enhancements.
- Lead ICT projects and coordinate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Plan, prepare, design, implement, operate, and optimize data networks.
- Support network upgrades, migrations, and escalated troubleshooting with Cisco TAC.
- Perform root cause analysis and diagnose complex networking issues.
- Mentor and train junior engineers; provide real-time escalation support.
- Work closely with system integrators to oversee project implementation activities.
- Contribute to future vision architecture for cost and risk reduction.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Technology (Engineering or related).
- 10–12 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Must hold CCIE Routing & Switching and Collaboration certifications.
- Must have CCNA (Routing & Switching).
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cisco IP Telephony & Network Security Systems
- Cisco Core Solutions, TACACS/RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, IP services
- LDAP (Active Directory) integration with IP Telephony
- Cisco Unified Contact Center Express
- Cisco Video Conferencing systems
- L2/L3 configuration on network devices
Desirable:
- Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
- Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE).
- Knowledge of Juniper devices.
- Experience with VMware vSphere and virtualization.
