Control Room Operator (Oman Cement Company)

Oman Cement Company produces cement used in construction and infrastructure projects.

A Control Room Operator in Oman Cement Company is responsible for monitoring and controlling the entire cement production process from a central control room. This is a critical technical role because cement plants must run continuously and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the cement production process from the control room (kiln, raw mill, cement mill)

Track real-time data like temperature, pressure, material flow, and fuel usage

Operate and adjust machinery settings through computerized control systems (DCS/SCADA)

Respond quickly to alarms, faults, or equipment failures

Coordinate with field operators and maintenance teams during breakdowns

Ensure smooth and continuous production with minimal downtime

Follow strict safety and environmental standards

Record operational data and shift reports

Support troubleshooting during process issues or shutdowns

Skills & Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering (preferred)

Experience in cement plant or heavy industry (strong advantage)

Knowledge of control systems (DCS / SCADA)

Ability to work in shift rotations (day/night)

Strong attention to detail and quick decision-making skills

Ability to handle pressure during plant emergencies

Pay: From RO900.000 per month

Work Location: In person
