Controller - LogiQuip, LLC

Department: Accounting / Finance

Position Summary

The Controller is responsible for leading LogiQuip’s accounting and financial control functions while serving as a strategic partner to Operations and Leadership. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, maintains strong internal controls, and provides actionable financial insight to support operational decision‑making, pricing discipline, and sustainable growth.

The Controller balances hands‑on execution with leadership oversight, ensuring day‑to‑day accounting excellence while helping guide the company through growth, margin management, and operational complexity.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Controls

  • Own the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Ensure timely close processes and consistent financial reporting cadence
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Coordinate and support external audits, reviews, and tax filings

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
  • Monitor performance against budget; analyze variances and identify root causes
  • Provide financial insight and recommendations to leadership to support informed decisions
  • Prepare financial models, projections, and special analyses as needed

Cash Flow, Banking & Risk Management

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning
  • Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and treasury activities
  • Minimize financial risk while supporting operational flexibility
  • Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory impacts on cash flow

Operational & Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Operations, Sales, and Leadership on:
  • Pricing and margin analysis
  • Project costing and profitability
  • Expense control and investment decisions
  • Support quoting, customer pricing strategy, and cost modeling where appropriate
  • Provide financial perspective on operational initiatives and growth opportunities

Systems, Process Improvement & Scalability

  • Own and improve accounting systems, reporting tools, and financial workflows
  • Drive process efficiencies that support scalability and accuracy
  • Ensure financial systems support operational and reporting needs as the company grows
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls while maintaining business agility

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop accounting and finance staff
  • Set clear expectations and performance standards
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and workload balance within the team

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or project‑based environments preferred
  • Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally and communicate financial concepts clearly

Pay: From $81,546.52 per year
