About the Company


Looking to hire COO for foreign expansion for a leading logistic company in Gurgaon.


About the Role


The incumbent would be responsible for The Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Foreign Expansion will be responsible for driving the company’s international growth strategy, setting up and scaling operations in new geographies, and ensuring global operational excellence. The role requires a proven leader with experience in global expansion, regulatory compliance, cross-cultural leadership, and operational strategy across multiple international markets.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the formulation and execution of international expansion strategies in alignment with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Identify and evaluate new markets for business entry and expansion.
  • Build market-entry frameworks including legal, operational, and go-to-market planning.
  • Analyze macroeconomic, regulatory, and competitive environments in target countries.
  • Establish operational infrastructure in new countries including logistics, warehousing, vendor partnerships, and talent acquisition.
  • Ensure smooth set-up and launch of new international branches or subsidiaries.
  • Oversee end-to-end operational activities to achieve performance, quality, and profitability targets.
  • Optimize supply chain and logistics processes to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure adherence to local laws, customs regulations, labor codes, and international trade requirements.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to structure entities and agreements.
  • Mitigate risks associated with foreign operations, including geopolitical, legal, and operational risks.
  • Liaise with overseas clients to understand and fulfill their business needs.
  • Meet with global customers to address and deliver on their specific business requirements.


Qualifications


  • MBA or equivalent degree in Business, International Trade, or Operations preferred.


Required Skills


  • Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role involving foreign expansion.
  • Proven track record of setting up and scaling businesses internationally.
  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, or B2B/B2C operations in foreign markets is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Skills


  • Experience in cross-cultural leadership.
  • Operational strategy across multiple international markets.
