Core responsibilities

- Quality control: Checking the freshness of ingredients and ensuring all prepared food meets the restaurant's quality standards.
- Plating and presentation: Arranging and garnishing dishes to make them look visually appealing.
Kitchen and safety standards
- Sanitation: Maintaining a clean and organized work area, equipment, and utensils. This includes cleaning and sanitizing at the end of each shift.
- Food safety: Adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food storage and handling.
Teamwork and collaboration
- Kitchen operations: Collaborating with other cooks, chefs, and front-of-house staff to ensure orders are prepared efficiently and on time.
- Inventory: Assisting with kitchen inventory management, which may include restocking supplies and monitoring stock levels.
