Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Assist in menu planning by offering creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability.
• Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while upholding high standards of food presentation.
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of dishes and ensuring smooth service flow.
• Serve dishes promptly and professionally, providing excellent food service to guests.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a kitchen setting, preferably with fine dining or restaurant experience.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
• Experience with meal preparation, food industry standards, and culinary techniques.
• Background in dietary department or dietary aide work is a plus, especially if familiar with menu planning for special diets.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
