COORDINATOR OF RESEARCH AND EVALUATION & ASSESSMENT

TITLE: Coordinator

(Division of Research, Evaluation, and Assessment)


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Valid teaching certificate.

  • Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, education or a related field. Master’s degree and/or project management coursework desired.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze, interpret data, suggest solutions, and report findings. An understanding of how to apply data insights into actionable instructional plans.

  • Strong knowledge of project manager tools (such as Microsoft Project) and capable of overseeing research on assessment data and district programs. Experience in complex project management is highly desirable.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, with commitment to teamwork and cooperation. High degree of initiative and a commitment to client satisfaction.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Required criminal history background check and proof of citizenship or legal resident alien status.


REPORTS TO:

Director of Research, Evaluation and Assessment


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Oversee all aspects of projects evaluating the District’s assessment data, programs and initiatives using planning, monitoring and controlling processes.

  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of the project and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including working with clients to define scope of work, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project. Will be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Must anticipate and catch deviations from a plan or schedule early and keep all participants/stakeholders informed.

  • Identifies, analyzes and reports out on issues and where efficiencies can be made. Responsible for the project’s commitment to quality. Ensures that data presentations are error free and that supporting documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Proposes, designs, directs, and reports on complex research projects. Applies knowledge of trends in education to improve services to clients.

  • Uses methods of program evaluation and academic assessment principles and practices to develop, analyze, and report system wide, school level, and student level accomplishments.

  • Actively participate in suggesting, analyzing and implementing new/improved processes, methods, and/or systems to enhance the performance of the division, schools and district.

  • Provide in-service training on data interpretation and on the user tools available for data analysis.

  • Maintain comparative District level reports and make them accessible to school personnel and the public.

  • Participate in all staff meetings and special committee meetings.

  • Attend educational conferences on testing, data analysis and accountability as requested by the Director of Research, Evaluation & Assessment.

  • Prepare any state or federal reports required to be filed consistent with applicable statute, code or Board policy.

  • Prepare reports for the Director of Research, Evaluation and Assessment.

  • Maintain records and forms related to testing, monitoring and accountability.

  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Research, Evaluation & Assessment.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:


Eleven (11) months; tenurable.


Evaluated by the Director of Research, Evaluation & Assessment consistent with statute, code and collective negotiations agreement.


Compensation and benefits as established by the collective negotiations agreements.
