Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

  • assistant management of the pharmacy services in implementing and adhering to policies and procedure
  • provides frontline team management and coaching to all pharmacy staff
  • precept and coordinate the training of pharmacy student serves as a role model to trainee pharmacist
  • maintain basic job needs like interpretation of physician' orders. intervention, compounding, dispensing, patient education-controlled drugs management and handling and inventory management of pharmaceutical supplies
  • maintains a collegial relationship inter and intra department and focus on improving image and performance of the department
  • Manages acute of shortage shifts and provide assistance and oversight to staff
  • provide valuable suggestions in monthly rota for efficient use of staff
  • identify problems in routine work operational or clinical and bring in the notice of management possible solution
  • participate in clinical research related activities and publications
  • assist in implementing optimal drug therapy plan, guidelines and protocols; identify, resolve and prevent potential and actual drug related problems by obtaining and evaluating medical literature, patient profiles, laboratory data and review drug use trends, adverse drug reaction reports , guidelines adherence etc
  • assure proper inventory and handling of drugs and other pharmacy related supplies
  • liaison with physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers and convey information on safe and effective medication usage, also conduct focus groups, quality grand rounds, or share information through sessions or flyers

Requirements:

You Should have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy/Pharm D, Master's degree in Pharmacy or Professional Registration in UK or USA preferred
  • at least four to six years of experience in tertiary care hospital pharmacy, with two years at supervisory level
  • ability to interpret and understand prescriptions, formularies and their pharmacological actions
  • demonstrate supervisory skills and ability to work with people of various background and training
  • may be assigned to work in any area of the hospital pharmacy as and when required
  • experience of continued career development
  • working knowledge of hospital pharmacy services and knowledge of various drug distribution systems
  • teaching experience with pharmacy apprentices or in a school of pharmacy preferred
