Cornea Transplantation Coordinator - Female

About Us:

Vision for Education Foundation is committed to eliminating preventable blindness through cornea transplantation programs. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Cornea Transplantation Coordinator to join our team and support the coordination of cornea donation and transplantation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Should be media-friendly and confident in appearing on electronic, print, and social media.
• Must be willing to travel to different cities for official assignments.
• Interact with intended cornea recipients and their families.
• Ensure adherence to the selection criteria for cornea recipients.
• Conduct pre-transplantation interviews and post-transplant follow-ups.
• Coordinate with partner hospitals for scheduling and procedural arrangements.
• Maintain engagement with transplanted cornea recipients for follow-up care.
• Arrange appointments, monitor compliance with treatment, and ensure patient visits.
• Facilitate cornea procurement from various sources.
• Ensure compliance with HOTA (Human Organ Transplant Authority) regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports for all transplantation activities.
• Collaborate with team members to promote cornea donation awareness campaigns.
• Prepare reports and present updates to management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (Medical, Optometry, Healthcare Management, or Public Health preferred
• Prior experience in healthcare coordination or patient management is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to liaise effectively with hospitals, donors, and patients.
• Knowledge of organ transplantation regulations and ethical considerations.
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and reports.

Job Benefits

• Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 09:00am to 06:00pm / 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.
• Work Location: Head Office with required travel to hospitals and stakeholder sites.
• Leave Entitlement: 8 casual leaves and 10 sick leaves annually (as per policy).
• Probation Period: 90 days (subject to performance evaluation).
• Office Located at Mian Shahrah e Faisal PECHS Block 6 Karachi.
