Corporate Compliance Officer

Antalya, Turkey

SunExpress is looking for an experienced Corporate Compliance Officer to join our team at Antalya Headquarters. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and ethical standards across the organization.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Law, Economics, Administration, or Engineering; relevant postgraduate qualifications (e.g., CAMS, CGSS, CKYCA, ICA, CRCM) are an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in corporate compliance or a similar field; aviation industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong awareness of US, EU, and UN sanctions and competition law practices.
  • High proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are advantageous.
  • Experience working in international teams is desired.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex regulatory requirements for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on mitigating compliance risks.
  • Must reside in Antalya or be willing to relocate.


Responsibilities:


  • Report to the Legal Affairs & Corporate Compliance Director on compliance issues and provide regular updates.
  • Guide business units on compliance matters and support them in drafting and enforcing procedures aligned with the Company Code of Ethics.
  • Monitor, review, and implement the Company Code of Ethics, internal rules, and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s ethics and compliance program in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct compliance reviews of business units, ensuring adherence to internal rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Issue the Compliance Program and Annual Compliance Report.
  • Review compliance policies and procedures and propose amendments for approval by the Legal Affairs & Corporate Compliance Director.
  • Provide compliance opinions on contracts and documents, including sanctions and competition perspectives.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure effective coordination with Audit, Compliance Monitoring, and Standardization departments.
  • Monitor and manage departmental goals, processes, and budget.
  • Oversee and approve department personnel matters (leave, duty travel, training, expenses).
  • Represent the compliance function across the organization and coordinate relationships with other departments.
  • Provide resources and advice necessary for implementing company-wide compliance practices.
  • Pursue professional development in local and international compliance fields to ensure continuous alignment with best practices.
