Join the dynamic team at Pace Industries, located in Novi, MI. The Corporate Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance across the business. This role ensures accurate and timely financial statements, leads audits, and partners with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making. The Corporate Controller plays a key role in managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial process improvement, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has deep experience in manufacturing finance, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong commitment to accuracy, transparency, and operational excellence. The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cost accounting

Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP for multiple sites.

Lead the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department and plant leaders

Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards

Manage the external audit process and coordinate with auditors to provide required documentation and insights

Provide financial analysis and reporting to executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions

Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting processes, and automation

Develop and mentor accounting team members to support professional growth and departmental effectiveness

Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and human resources to align financial goals with business objectives
Qualifications
-
10+ years of experience working in corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, or a related field.

Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or MBA is a plus.

Knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles.

Experience developing financial reports and metrics.

Experience using an ERP system to run financial modules.

Ability to relate and communicate well with people at all levels in the organization

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, requirements and competing demands in a deadline driven environment.

Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills.

Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from production associates to senior leaders.
