Corporate Legal Counsel

Location: New York, NY

Salary: $130,000 - 170,000

Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking a Legal Counsel with a strong background in commercial contracts and employment law to join their in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will be a practical problem solver who can balance legal risk with business needs and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, supply chain agreements, service-level agreements, NDAs, and licensing deals.
• Advise business teams on contract terms, risk mitigation, and deal structure.
• Support strategic initiatives, marketing programs, and digital partnerships from a legal perspective.
• Provide day-to-day counsel on employment law issues, including wage and hour compliance, employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, leaves of absence, and accommodations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, HR, procurement, marketing, and IT.

An ideal Candidate would have:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
• 5–8 years of legal experience , with at least 2 years in a law firm and recent in-house experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. employment law and commercial contract negotiation .
• Experience advising companies in the retail, e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain sectors is a strong plus.
