Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cost Control Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling project costs, ensuring projects are completed within the approved budget. This role involves collaborating with project managers and other departments to track and report on financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that all financial resources are used efficiently and within budget.
- Develop cost control plans, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Track and analyze project expenditures, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Prepare and update cost reports regularly, providing detailed analysis of variances between actual costs and budgets.
- Identify potential cost overruns and work proactively to resolve issues.
- Ensure that all project-related financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the procurement and project management teams to ensure cost efficiency in project execution.
- Review and approve changes in project scope, cost estimates, and budgets.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of all cost control activities and reports.
- Participate in project progress meetings and provide input on financial and cost-related matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control or project finance, with a focus on construction or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, financial analysis, and budgeting techniques.
- Experience with cost control software and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track and forecast project costs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and report financial data to management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
