Cost Control Engineer

Cost Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and overall financial performance.
  • Prepare periodic cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for management review.
  • Track project progress against planned budgets and schedules.
  • Review contractor invoices and claims; verify cost accuracy and compliance with contracts.
  • Assist in developing project cost estimates, budgets, and cost breakdown structures (CBS).
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and highlight potential financial risks.
  • Provide financial and cost data to the project team to support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date cost-related documentation.
  • Coordinate with planning, procurement, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Ensure adherence to company and project cost control policies and procedures.

Job Specific Skills:
  • Cost breakdown structure (CBS) development and maintenance.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and application.
  • Contract cost monitoring and change management.
  • Financial risk identification and mitigation.
  • Preparation of monthly cost reports and dashboards.
  • Understanding of Oil & Gas project lifecycles and cost drivers.

Experience:
  • 3–7 years of experience in cost control or project controls.
  • Prior experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects is strongly preferred.
