Cost Control Engineer
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and overall financial performance.

Prepare periodic cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for management review.

Track project progress against planned budgets and schedules.

Review contractor invoices and claims; verify cost accuracy and compliance with contracts.

Assist in developing project cost estimates, budgets, and cost breakdown structures (CBS).

Identify cost-saving opportunities and highlight potential financial risks.
-
Provide financial and cost data to the project team to support decision-making.

Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date cost-related documentation.
-
Coordinate with planning, procurement, engineering, and construction teams.
-
Ensure adherence to company and project cost control policies and procedures.
Job Specific Skills:

Cost breakdown structure (CBS) development and maintenance.

Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and application.
-
Contract cost monitoring and change management.
-
Financial risk identification and mitigation.
-
Preparation of monthly cost reports and dashboards.
-
Understanding of Oil & Gas project lifecycles and cost drivers.
Experience:
-
3–7 years of experience in cost control or project controls.
-
Prior experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects is strongly preferred.
