Job Summary

The Cost Control Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs throughout the lifecycle of high-rise, Low-rise, Villa and masterplan mix use development construction projects. The role ensures that project expenditure remains within approved budgets while maintaining quality, schedule, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasted costs.
• Review contractor payment applications and verify quantities and progress.
• Analyze cost variances and prepare monthly cost reports and cost analysis for management.
• Evaluate variation orders, claims, and change requests.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure cost compliance.
• Review and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.
• Track procurement costs and monitor budget allocations.
• Support value engineering initiatives and cost optimization measures.
• Maintain cost control systems and project cost databases.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in cost control for high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, contracts, budgeting, and cost reporting.
• Experience working with leading main contractors.
• Experience reviewing contractor claims and variation orders.
• Proficiency in Excel, Expedient, CostX, Candy, Primavera P6, or similar software.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
