The Cost Controls Analyst manages the day-to-day financial operations of Store Development projects, ensuring all purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments are accurate and processed on time. This role tracks project budgets, monitors spend, and maintains financial records and reporting for the portfolio. The individual serves as the key liaison between PM’s, Vendors, the Cost Management team, and Accounts Payable, supporting strategic cost oversight, assisting with value engineering initiatives, and ensuring financial compliance and accuracy across all projects. Manage all purchase orders and invoices, ensuring timely creation, review, and reconciliation
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor onboarding, payment inquiries, and financial reviews
Maintain and operate financial systems (e.g., Lucernex, Coupa) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
Assist in producing project-level and portfolio-wide cost reports to inform decision-making
Support bid and contract documentation review as needed
Track spend and support small projects, including temporary stores, badge flips, and decommissioning work
Collaborate with Vendors, Project Managers, the Cost Management team, and Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy
Experience and Skills:
Strong background in financial operations, procurement, project accounting, or construction cost tracking
Experience managing vendor relationships and high-volume invoices
Proficiency with financial and procurement systems (Coupa, Lucernex, or similar)
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, able to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office tools
Ability to work as part of a team and independently manage responsibilities
Flexible and adaptable to changing project needs and timelines
