As a Costing and Estimation Engineer specializing in electrical products, your role is pivotal in estimating costs and ensuring the competitive pricing of electrical components and systems. Working closely with procurement teams and engineers you will contribute to the successful execution of projects within budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

Client requirement Analysis:

Review client electrical project specifications and collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements.

Identify key electrical components and systems needed for client’s project implementation.

Cost Estimation:

Utilize industry knowledge to provide accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical products.

Break down costs into components, including materials, labor, equipment, and associated expenses.

Vendor and Supplier Interaction:

Engage with electrical component vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and equipment.

Negotiate terms and agreements to secure favorable conditions for procurement.

Value Analysis:

Evaluate alternative electrical components and technologies to optimize costs while maintaining quality and functionality.

Recommend value engineering solutions to enhance project cost-effectiveness.

Risk Assessment:

Identify potential risks related to electrical product costs, such as market fluctuations or supply chain disruptions.

Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Documentation:

Prepare comprehensive documentation of cost estimates, detailing assumptions and methodologies used.

Maintain accurate records of cost data for future reference and analysis.

Client Communication:

Present cost estimates and budget proposals to clients and stakeholders, providing clear explanations and addressing inquiries related to electrical product costs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in cost estimation for electrical products and systems.

Familiarity with cost estimation software specific to the electrical industry.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of electrical components and systems.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,241.33 - ₹46,992.02 per month
