Job Title: Costing Executive
Job Purpose
To prepare, analyze, and monitor product and operational costs to support management in pricing, budgeting, and cost control decisions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost sheets for products, projects, or services.
- Analyze material, labor, overhead, and production costs to determine total cost.
- Monitor and control production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate costing records and documentation.
- Compare standard costs with actual costs and analyze variances.
- Support pricing decisions by providing accurate cost data and margin analysis.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and finance teams for cost-related data.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost forecasting.
- Review BOMs (Bill of Materials) and ensure cost accuracy.
- Prepare cost reports for management review on a regular basis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Support audits by providing required costing documents and explanations.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Good understanding of costing methods (standard, marginal, absorption costing)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- Professional certification (CA-Inter, CMA, ACCA – part qualified) is a plus
Experience
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in costing, finance, or manufacturing environment
