Job Purpose
As the Country Product Owner - NeoBiz Onboarding, you will play a key role in defining and executing the end-to-end customer onboarding experience for business customers. You will be responsible for delivering a seamless, intuitive, and highly efficient onboarding experience that reflects our digital-first ethos, driving engagement and customer satisfaction, right from the start of their journey with us. You will work closely with cross-functional teams along with the overall direction from the Global tribe (Business Banking, UAE) to ensure a smooth launch and continuous improvement of our onboarding processes.
Key result Areas
Product Strategy & Vision:
Define and drive the NeoBiz product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the onboarding experience in alignment with overall Mashreq strategy and goals and customer centricity.
Identify and prioritize product features and digital enhancements based on business impact, customer insights, and technical feasibility.
Ensure the onboarding journey aligns with the bank's values of simplicity, security, and efficiency, delivering an exceptional first impression for business customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with design, tech, operations, legal, compliance, and marketing teams to bring the onboarding experience to life and ensure smooth execution.
Act as a liaison between all business stakeholders, development teams, and external partners to ensure timely delivery of features and functionalities.
Lead discussions to drive alignment across teams on project scope, timelines, and product goals.
Customer-Centric Product Development:
Lead the design and implementation of a user-friendly, frictionless onboarding process that reduces drop-offs, enhances conversion rates, and accelerates time-to-value for business customers.
Ensure the product delivers high usability, aligns with legal/regulatory requirements, and integrates smoothly with other banking services and tools.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Leverage customer feedback, data analytics, and A/B testing to make informed product decisions and iterate on the onboarding experience.
Monitor and analyze onboarding metrics (e.g., conversion rates, completion times, customer feedback) to drive continuous improvement.
Market and Regulatory Insights:
Stay up to date on trends in digital banking, fintech, and regulatory changes that may impact the onboarding experience or customer journey.
Ensure the onboarding experience complies with all local regulatory and security standards, mitigating risk for the bank and customers.
Leadership & Mentorship:
Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of product managers, engineers, and designers to execute the vision and goals of the NeoBiz onboarding product.
Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in product delivery
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
15+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on digital banking, fintech, or other tech-driven industries, ideally with significant experience in customer onboarding and business services.
Strong knowledge of banking products, services, regulatory governance and platforms, particularly in the business banking segment (e.g., Corporate, Commercial or SME-focused offerings)
Proficient in leveraging data analytics to inform product decisions, track key metrics (e.g., conversion rates, customer drop-off points), and continuously optimize the onboarding process.
Proven experience in managing and influencing diverse stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, compliance, marketing, and leadership teams
Experience in leading and mentoring product teams, guiding them through complex product challenges and fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively when addressing challenges related to onboarding, customer engagement, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and product decisions clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
