CPC Operator – Heidelberg Speedmaster 102 (5 Color)

‎Objective: To operate and maintain a 5-color sheetfed offset press (Speedmaster 102 series) ensuring high-quality printing, minimum waste, and efficient production.

‎Key Responsibilities

‎

‎Operate, control, and monitor the Heidelberg Speedmaster 102 – 5 color sheetfed offset press.

‎

‎Perform makeready: plate mounting, ink and dampening setup, color registration adjustments, and job changeovers.

‎

‎Use CPC / CP2000 / CPTronic control systems for inking zones, register, and press parameters.

‎

‎Achieve and maintain consistent color balance, registration, and print quality according to production standards.

‎

‎Utilize automatic and semi-automatic features such as Preset Plus Feeder/Delivery, Autoplate, Alcolor dampening, and double-sheet detection.

‎

‎Inspect printed sheets for quality control — color accuracy, sharpness, ink density, and alignment.

‎

‎Maintain a steady press operation, minimize downtime, and troubleshoot print or mechanical issues.

‎

‎Perform routine cleaning and maintenance, such as roller wash-ups, blanket changes, and oiling.

‎

‎Follow all safety and quality procedures and report equipment issues promptly.

‎

‎Record production data — quantities printed, waste, color reports, and downtime logs.

‎

‎Coordinate with helpers, maintenance staff, and quality control to ensure smooth production flow.

‎

‎Manage quick job changeovers while maintaining consistent productivity.

‎Skills & Experience Requirements

‎

‎2–3 years of experience operating a Heidelberg Speedmaster 102 (5 color) or similar sheetfed offset press.

‎

‎Proficiency in using CPC, CP2000, or CPTronic control consoles.

‎

‎Strong understanding of ink and dampening systems (e.g., Alcolor).

‎

‎Knowledge of mechanical and electrical press systems — feeder, delivery, and plate changer functions.

‎

‎Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and focus on print quality.

‎

‎Strong teamwork and communication skills.

‎

‎Ability to work under pressure during press setup and tight deadlines.

‎

‎Willingness to work in shifts (including night or extended hours if required).
