Job Summary:
1. Operates crane in a safe manner according to safety guidelines and regulations.
2. Conducts daily crane maintenance inspection each day at the start of the shift.
3. Retrieves material from storage to load onto processing equipment, trucks, or rail cars.
4. Unloads inbound material from trucks and rail cars.
5. Moves heavy materials for warehouseman and parts cleaners.

Job Function:
1. Maintains housekeeping.
2. Monitors work area.
3. Demonstrates ability and accepts responsibility to perform other duties assigned by the foreman as necessary to complete the shift
Required Skills:
Be able to distinguish colors, regardless of position of colors, if color differentiation is required for operation;
Have sufficient strength, endurance, agility, coordination, and speed of reaction to meet the demands of equipment operation;

Evidence of physical defects, or emotional instability that could render a hazard to the operator or others, or which in the opinion of the examiner could interfere with the operator’s performance, may be cause for disqualification. In such cases, specialized clinical or medical judgments and tests may be required.
Evidence that an operator is subject to seizures or loss of physical control shall be reason for disqualification. Specialized medical tests may be required to determine these conditions.
