Summary
The Creative Arts Director will work with the pastors to lead the visual communication and digital presence of our church. This role is responsible for creating engaging graphics and videos, managing social media platforms, and ensuring all digital and print content reflects the mission, vision, and values of Whole Word Fellowship. The Creative Arts Director will use creativity and storytelling to help people connect with God, build community, and grow in faith.
Compensation
- This is a part-time position with the opportunity to expand into a full-time role as the ministry develops and the church continues to grow.
- Flexible hours, including Sundays and some evenings required.
- This position can be combined with another coordinator or director level position.
General Qualifications
- Meeting the 1 Timothy 3, Titus 3, and 1 Peter 5 qualifications for church leaders.
- Commitment to the doctrine, vision, mission, values, and beliefs of Whole Word Fellowship.
- Commitment to a team approach to ministry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter and able to work without direct supervision.
Specific Qualifications
- Experience in graphic design, video production, and social media management.
- Proficiency with design and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Strong eye for design, storytelling, and digital communication.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Recruit, disciple, and care for a team of volunteer leaders.
Preferred Skills (but not required)
- Photography and live production experience.
- Knowledge of church media platforms (e.g., ProPresenter, Planning Center).
Responsibilities
- Graphic Design: Create weekly and seasonal graphics for sermon series, events, announcements, and ministry needs (print and digital).
- Video Production: Plan, shoot, and edit videos for worship services, announcements, testimonies, and social media.
- Social Media Management: Develop and implement a content strategy across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).
- Post consistently to engage current members and reach new audiences.
- Monitor interactions, respond to messages, and track engagement metrics.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all creative content aligns with the church’s mission and maintains a cohesive style and tone.
- Collaboration: Work closely with pastors, staff, and volunteers to support ministries with creative resources.
- Innovation: Stay updated on creative trends, tools, and platforms to keep the church’s communication fresh and relevant.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
