Creative Graphic Designer

Overview

The Creative Designer supports GEAR for Sports Sales management through the creation of Brand oriented collateral aimed at organic sales growth. These sales tools include seasonal digital catalogs, digital marketing assets, and AI-driven solutions. This position also includes design and production of social media assets, neck label & hangtag alteration, banner & flyer development, etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the timely and accurate creation of seasonal GEAR In-House Catalogs directed by Sales management which includes concepting, layout, Photoshop color correction, etc.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate creation of In-House Catalogs . . . Working with Brand to form an efficient process to successfully execute each catalog.
• Direct photographer, stylist and models, keeping to a pre-planned timeline and vision for the photo shoot. Research locations, create photoshoot schedule from provided Brand Team garment product list.
• Seasonal updates to notify IDG/Image Specialist/Art Prod. of status of new garments. Photographed/Color Corrected/S7 file.
• Work with Project Coordinator day to day, developing an effective and cohesive relationship.
• Full knowledge of GEAR for Sports logos, neck labels, hang tags. This knowledge will form a strong foundation for possible future changes & adaptations from Brand or Garment Design.
• Create graphic oriented sales tools for special projects assigned by sales management for client calls or events.
• AI software experience is a plus, including familiarity with emerging tools and technologies that support avatar development and enhance overall creative workflows and efficiency.
• Keep up to-date on all print and embroidery graphic designs released for seasonal sales sample lines for both GEAR Resort & GEAR Bookstore (these will be utilized in art/garment boards for Sales).
• Stay current on design styles and techniques and trends in the Resort, Golf and Bookstore markets.
• Problem solve and create very quickly in fast paced situations.
• Work with Image Specialist and/or Brand Team on final garment details in preparing Scene7 seasonal images for ROE, CAA & Quick Guide Builder…while also managing the IDGroup image library.
• Work closely with Web Designer on catalog updates to gfsionline and gearforsports.com. Creating specialized PDF’s thumbnail JPEG’s & model shots for upload.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent industry related experience in a catalog field
• Two – three years’ experience in field
• Understanding of basic graphic art concepts such as composition, color relationships and balance.
• Mastery of Macintosh computer and graphic design software
