Overview
A Credit Risk Manager is a senior professional responsible for safeguarding our company's assets from potential losses due to a borrower's failure to repay a loan or meet contractual obligations. He will save the company's credit portfolio, tasked with balancing the need for business growth with the imperative of maintaining a healthy, high-quality asset base. This role requires a blend of deep financial analysis, strategic thinking, and strong communication.
What You´ll Do

Credit Policy and Strategy Development: Setting the risk appetite via determining the level of credit risk the company is willing to accept to achieve its business objectives , Establishing lending criteria via Specifying the minimum requirements for a loan application, such as an applicant's income level, debt-to-income ratio, and collateral quality and Ensuring regulatory compliance by making sure that all credit policies and procedures align with relevant local and international financial regulations.

Portfolio Management: Monitoring performance via tracking key metrics like default rates, delinquency trends, and concentration risk, developing early warning systems via Creating and implementing systems to proactively identify loans that show signs of distress, allowing for timely intervention and reporting by Preparing detailed reports and presentations on the health of the portfolio for the executive team and board of directors.

Collections and Remedial Management: Developing collection strategies via creating plans for how to contact and work with delinquent borrowers, loan restructuring via Negotiating new terms with struggling borrowers to help them get back on track and avoid a full default and Loss provisioning by calculating and setting aside funds (loan loss reserves) to cover expected future losses from defaults.

Risk Modeling and Analytics: Building and validating models via developing and utilizing statistical models to predict future defaults and estimate potential losses and Conducting stress testing via simulating how the loan portfolio would perform under adverse economic conditions, such as a recession or a sharp rise in interest rates.
What Makes You a Good Fit

A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field is a must. A master's degree or professional certifications like the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are highly preferred.

Extensive experience of a minimum of 10 years in credit analysis, underwriting, or a related risk management field is essential.

Analytical Skills: A strong ability to interpret complex financial data and identify underlying risks.

Outstanding communication and presentation skills in both Arabic and English.

Leadership and Communication: Must be able to lead a team, present complex information clearly to both expert and non-expert audiences and negotiate effectively.
