Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep-dive research into best practices across functions — HR (talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, culture), marketing (demand generation, brand, content), sales (pipeline management, enablement, outbound), operations, finance, and customer success
- Benchmark PF's current processes, policies, tools, and metrics against industry leaders and regional peers; identify gaps and quantify opportunities for improvement
- Track emerging trends, tools (including AI-driven tooling), frameworks, and regulatory developments relevant to each function
- Convert findings into concise, decision-ready outputs — one-pagers, comparison matrices, playbook drafts, SOP recommendations, and executive briefs
- Partner with department heads to validate findings, pilot recommended practices, and document what works into PF's internal playbooks
- Support leadership with ad-hoc research requests — competitor analysis, vendor/tool evaluations, policy comparisons, and market scans — with fast turnaround
- Maintain a structured, searchable repository of research, benchmarks, and sources
What Success Looks Like
- Each core function has a documented benchmark of its practices vs. market best practice
- Leadership receives a recurring research digest highlighting practices worth adopting, with clear recommendations
- Research outputs are consistently rated as clear, well-sourced, and immediately usable by stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, HR, Marketing, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in research, consulting, strategy, business analysis, or a generalist operations role
- Demonstrated ability to research a topic from scratch, evaluate source credibility, and distill large amounts of information into structured insights
- Strong writing skills — able to produce crisp executive summaries, comparison tables, and structured reports in English
- Intellectually curious, self-directed, and comfortable working across multiple domains simultaneously with minimal supervision
Nice to Have
- Exposure to management consulting, market research firms, or a fast-scaling startup environment
- Familiarity with functional metrics (e.g., attrition, CAC, pipeline conversion, NPS) and how to interpret them
- Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.) to accelerate research and synthesis
- Basic data skills — Excel modelling, survey design, or simple dashboarding
Core Competencies
- Analytical rigor and structured thinking
- Speed with quality — fast turnaround without sacrificing accuracy
- Clear, concise business communication
- Stakeholder management across functions and seniority levels
