Customer Service Agent Job DescriptionPosition Overview

The Customer Service Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional support across multiple channels including phone calls and emails. This role focuses on ensuring customer happiness through prompt, efficient, and empathetic resolution of inquiries and concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner
  • Resolve customer issues, complaints, and product questions with a focus on satisfaction
  • Process orders, returns, and account changes accurately
  • Document all customer interactions in the company's CRM system
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience and loyalty
  • Follow up with customers to ensure complete resolution and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with other departments to address complex customer needs
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics for response time, resolution rate, and customer satisfaction
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, policies, and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
