Position: Customer Care Representative

Pay Rate: $18-$20/hour on W2

Location: Gastonia, NC (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)

Role Summary:

This is a frontline customer-facing position responsible for answering customer inquiries, resolving billing and payment issues, handling service requests, assisting with credit challenges, and managing potential emergency situations. You will be the key point of contact ensuring a positive customer experience while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Professionally handle inbound calls and build trust with customers
• Provide on-the-spot solutions for billing, payments, and service requests
• Assist customers facing credit difficulties and termination notices
• Negotiate payment plans per regulatory guidelines
• Meet performance targets for customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity
• Work with Customer Information Systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Support during emergencies (may include nights/weekends)

Requirements:

• Strong verbal & written communication skills with proven de-escalation ability
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Understanding of billing, credit, and customer accounts (preferred)
• Ability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends
• Customer service/call center experience (3+ years preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent; background check & drug screening required
