Customs and Trade Compliance Assistant (2-3 years exp) (Contractual Role)

Position Purpose:
Assist India Customs and Trade Compliance (CTC).

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide strong Customs and Trade Compliance support to Qnity business units.
• Serve as Customs and Trade Compliance single point of contact for India to ensure corporate and regulatory compliance.
• Assist import/export operations and compliance activities. Provide ongoing support to the BUs leveraging the First& Standard Order Process. HTS Change management, Deliver 100% compliance with the global import/export strategy.
• Work closely with external suppliers, business unit supply chain teams, Customs brokers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely import/export execution.
• Support Customs and Trade compliance report, registrations and license, inspection, SVB (Special Valuation Branch) registration.
• Provide customs regulatory update to business stakeholders.
• Monitor and track suppliers’ performance metrics and gaps, identifying and delivering improvement action.
• Report to AP CTC leader for Customs Brokers for performance, value creation and Value beyond Savings (VBS), align SOPs for operations and KPIs.

Knowledge/Skills/Attributes

• Basic knowledge of import, export, customs, trade compliance
• Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple cultures, regions, and market levels; analysts to senior leadership
• Familiarity and experience with technological tools and processes (experience preferred but not required)
• Fluent English and communication skills

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-3 years of experience in International Trade Operations / Freight Forwarding
