Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Junior Network and Security Assessment Specialist to join our growing cybersecurity services team. In this role, you will support and assist in delivering network and security assessments for our clients, helping to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and enhance security postures across diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular reviews of user access rights across computing assets and applications to ensure alignment with internal policies and prevent unauthorized access.
- Assist in evaluating and reviewing the configuration of network devices (e.g., firewalls, routers, switches) to ensure adherence to security best practices.
- Develop and maintain hardening checklists and procedures for IT assets including servers, workstations, and networking hardware.
- Ensure all IT assets are properly hardened and compliant with organizational standards and industry benchmarks (e.g., CIS).
- Support validation of implemented IT controls and assess their effectiveness in real-world scenarios.
- Perform periodic assessments of security devices (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) to ensure optimal performance and coverage.
- Document findings in structured technical reports and participate in client meetings alongside senior consultants.
- Support security assessment projects including vulnerability scanning, configuration reviews, and network audits.
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and common vulnerabilities (e.g., CVEs).
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to deliver quality results in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in IT, with a focus on network security, system hardening, or security assessment-related work
Technical Knowledge:
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching.
- Understanding of firewall technologies, VPNs, and common attack vectors.
- Familiarity with tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS).
- Exposure to or interest in security platforms such as SIEM, NDR, XDR, EDR, and email security solutions.
- Hands-on experience configuring or managing network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Understanding of cloud security basics (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory):
- CompTIA Security+
- Cisco CCNA (Security or Routing & Switching)
- JNCIA-SEC
- CEH (Practical)
- eJPT or equivalent entry-level certifications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs160,000.00 per month
