D365 F&O Functional Consultant

Summary

The Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant will lead end‑to‑end solution design, configuration, and optimization for mid‑size to enterprise clients, translating complex business processes into robust D365 F&O solutions while ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct workshops with finance, supply chain stakeholders to capture functional requirements and translate them into D365 F&O specifications
• Design, configure, and validate core modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Procurement) using standard and custom entities
• Lead fit‑gap analysis, develop functional design documents, and propose mitigation strategies for identified gaps
• Configure data migration templates, oversee data cleansing, and validate migration results using Data Management Framework
• Provide on‑site and remote functional support during UAT, hypercare, and post‑go‑live phases, including issue triage and resolution
• Collaborate with technical consultants to design extensions, integrations (Azure Logic Apps, Power Platform, APIs) and ensure seamless data flow
• Mentor junior consultants, conduct knowledge‑transfer sessions, and contribute to reusable assets and best‑practice libraries

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in the IT services sector
• Proven track record delivering full lifecycle projects (analysis, design, configuration, testing, deployment) for at least three enterprise implementations
• Deep functional expertise in finance, supply chain, and manufacturing processes, with certification (e.g., MB‑600, MB‑500) preferred
• Experience with data migration tools (Data Management, Excel, Azure Data Factory) and data validation techniques
• Strong understanding of integration patterns using Azure Service Bus, Power Automate, and REST APIs
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments and produce high‑quality documentation under tight timelines
